Remark:
1. All prices listed above are for San Francisco (SFO) or Los Angeles (LAX) departure by Air China (CA) L class. For New York (JFK) departure by Air China (CA) L class, please add $100 extra per person. If L class not available, please add $100 per class upsell (subject to availability).
2. All prices listed above are per person in U. S. dollars based on two adults sharing one room, double occupancy. If three adults need to share one room and the third person asking for extra bed, the third person's price will be the same as others. A customer who travels alone is required to pay a single room supplement. Those who want to have a single room will have to pay single supplement. 
3. Children under 12 (2-11 years of age) share room with two adults and not asking for extra bed, they will be charged 75% of a regular adult tour fare, if they need an extra bed in the same room with two adults, they will be charged 90% of a regular adult tour fare. Children 12 and older will be charged at the regular adult tour fare.
4. All taxes and fuel surcharge associated with airlines are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
5. Early depart or late return:
Early depart or late return is allowed, the ticket change fee is $50 per person each time, in addition to airlines surcharge for different air class and weekend if necessary.

Board an international flight bound for China. Cross the International Date Line.

Day2
 
Beijing 

Arrive in Beijing. You will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Accommodation: Crowne Plaza Hotel Beijing (5 star).

Day3
 
Beijing (BLD)

Beijing, the capital of China, it served as the capital for 5 dynasties over a period of 800 years with eachemperor identified as a dragon sent from heaven. After breakfast, we tour Qianmen Street. Visit the modern "National Grand Theatre"- “Dome”. After lunch, we will tour the new landmarks of Beijing - the Olympics sites including "Bird's Nest"-National Stadium, "Water Cube"-Olympic Swimming Pool. Tonight the famous Peking Roasted Duck will be provided for dinner.

Beijing - Urumqi (BLD)

More than 2000 years ago, Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty dispatched an emissary to the west, not for trade, but for securing allies against the hordes intrusion from the north. That was the first time China opened its door to the western world. Since then, camel caravans, carrying spices, fruits and all kinds of goods from the west, continuously crossed the vast deserts and the freezing mountains to come to China for the seek of silk. Today, you can follow the path of those ancient caravans all the way on the silk road. Fly to Urumqi. Of all the cities in the world, Urumqi is the farthest from the sea! You are about to step on that mystical road where East meets West. Upon arrival, proceed to Nanshan Pasture where we enjoy the unique scenery of snowcapped peaks, dragon-spruce tress and wild flowers. Accommodation: Mirage Hotel (5 star).

Urumqi - Turpan (BLD)

We drive to Turpan, an oasis amid the desert, and renown for its grapes and honeydew melons. Visit the famous Karez Wells, an underground irrigation system that carries melted snow from Mt. Tianshan to the fields below. You will tour the ruins of the ancient city of Jiaohe and Sugong Minaret. Tonight taste roasted lamb and enjoy the Xingjiang folklore performance. Accommodation: Tuha Petroleum Hotel (5 star).

Day6
 
Turpan - Urumqi (BLD)
Turpan is best known for its grapes and honeydew melons, but is also rich in historical links to the Silk Road. Our tour starts with visit to Grape Valley. Then enjoy the approximately 70 miles drive to the placid Heavenly Lake (Tianchi), properly named for its steep green pastures, virgin conifer forests, and snowy mountains. The elevation is 6000 feet. Take a cruise on the lake.Visit the local free market in the afternoon. Tonight you are treated with the famous regional cuisine. Accommodation: Mirage Hotel (5 star).

Urumqi - Dunhuang (BLD)

We board a morning flight bound for Dunhuang, one of China's most historic cities that served as a rest stop for traders and as the gateway through which Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity entered China. Our city tour includes visits to the Yangguan Pass of Great Wall (Yangguan), Singing Hill and Moon Lake. Enjoy a dinner show in the evening. Accommodation: Dunhuang Resort (local best).

Dunhuang (BLD)
Today our tour takes us to visit White horse Pagoda at first, later excursion to Mogao Grottoes, known as "The World Art Treasure House". The cave is the largest, most well preserved treasure house of arts in the world and is listed as one of the World Cultural Heritages. Mogao Grottoes designated as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO for its l600-year accumulated cultural, architecture, and art treasures. They are China's oldest monumental Buddhist grottoes. The first grotto was constructed in 366 AD. Housed in the remaining 492 cave temples are over 2,400 sculptures and 45,000 square meters of frescoes.

Dunhuang - Jiayuguan - Lanzhou (BLD)
Drive from Dunhuang to Jiayuguan Pass, the western end of the Great Wall. Visit this vital stronghold of military defense. Lunch in a nearby city followed by a visit to a local vineyard. Visit Jiayuguan Pass Fort. After dinner, we take a comfortable air-conditioned soft berth express train to Lanzhou.
Day10
 
Lanzhou (BLD)

Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province, the "City of Fruit", a city that has a 2000-year history and it is the capital of Gansu Province. Enjoy full day boat excursion to Liu Jia Xia Dam and Binglingsi Grottoes. Later visit to White Pagoda Mountain, for the view of the Yellow River. Tonight taste the local specialties. Accommodation: Sunshine Plaza Hotel (5 star).

Day11
 
Lanzhou - Xining (BLD)
Board your train to Xining,the capital of Qinghai Province. It has been central China's gateway to Tibet since the ancient times. It is also the area fro which the Yangtze and the Yellow Rivers originate. See those majestic temples and golden altatrs. Marvel at the jeweled pagodas of a mosque and visit the Temple of Tar. Accommodation: Yinglong Hotel (5 star). 
Day12
 
Xining - Qinghai Lake - Xining (BLD)

After breakfast, we drive to tour the Qinghai Lake, the China's largest salt lake. You will never forget the turquoise blue water, the jadegreen pastures, the cleanest azure sky, the reed tents, the black oxen, the yellow blooms and the colorful Tibetan costumes. Experience the unique flavor of this border city where many different ethnic, cultural, and religious groups live in peace and harmony.  In spring season (April to May), you can have an optional tour to the Bird Island if time allows. The island is populated by thousands of migratory birds during their breeding season, and it is a wonderful sight. Tonight we enjoy a delicious local hot pot while being entertained by a local folklore dance show.

Day13
 
Xining - Xian (BLD)

Fly to Xian, the cradle of Chinese civilization, was the state capital of 73 emperors spanning 11 dynasties during 1100 years dating from 4,000 B.C. On the way to hotel, you will see the ancient city walls. Visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square. Enjoy royal dumpling in dinner. After dinner, you will see a wonderful stage opera show of the Tang Dynasty. Accommodation: Shangri-La Golden Flower Hotel (5 star) .

Day14
 
Xian - Mt. Huashan - Xian (BLD)
After breakfast, we drive to Mt. Huashan, one of five holy mountains in China. Ascend by cable to the top of this majestic mountain for a breath-taking view of its five peaks and the Yellow River.
Day15
 
Xian - Shanghai (BLD)

After breakfast, fly to Shanghai, the largest commercial and financial center of China. After lunch, you will visit Nanjing Road, the most popular shopping street in Shanghai. After dinner, you will have a night tour along the amazing Bund. Stroll along the Bund, China's most famous waterfront stretching about one mile along the Huangpu River. From there you may take a photo of the Tower of the East Pearl (Asia's tallest TV tower) in the newly developed Pudong District. Accommodation: Howard Johnson Business Club Hotel Shanghai (5 star).

Day16
 
Shanghai - USA (B)

After breakfast, you are transferred to airport for your return flight back to your home. You will be in the United States the same day. End of tour.
